Technology in Dental Trip Istanbul

    • Matrix systems:
Using a correct matrix is of great importance in order to avoid accumulation of food residues between teeth and to provide comfort in cleaning. We use 6 different brands and systems according to the cases we treat in our clinic.

    • Bonding agents:
To help the fillings bond well with the tooth surface, we prefer bonding materials that contain antiseptic agents to prevent sensitivity after the filling procedure.

    • Filling materials:
We prefer polishable and aesthetic composite materials with different colour options for the front teeth and reinforced composite materials with the lowest contraction ratios for the back teeth.

    • Light devices:
Contraction is one of the disadvantages of composites. Therefore, in order to minimize the contraction factor, it is necessary to use led devices that slowly and gradually increase the light level.

    • Polishing systems:
We can make fillings that can preserve their brightness and colour for long years by using various disc brands, plastics and chemical agents.

Dental Treatment

    • First, the decayed tissue is removed under local anaesthesia.
    • Bonding agents are applied on the tooth surface and left to harden under a special source of light.
    • The best filling material for the tooth is selected according to colour and is hardened in small portions under light.
    • The crown is shaped in compliance with the natural teeth and the excess is removed.
    • The teeth are polished in the last stage.

Duration

  • Depending on the size of the filling, each filling takes about 30 min – 1 h in a session (2-3 fillings can be made in the same session).

Advatages of Composite Teeth Fillings

  • It has an aesthetic outlook since it has the same colour as natural teeth.
  • At the same time, it is durable and resistant.
  • Unlike metal fillings, composite fillings do not contain toxic materials such as mercury.
  • Contrary to metal fillings, they do not require the removal of healthy tooth tissue since it can be attached to the tooth surface.
  • Hardening is provided by a special source of light during treatment.
